What incredible talent!!

I had the pleasure and huge privilege to photograph a day's rehearsal of a new musical production in Cirencester earlier this week. ‘The Clockmaker's Daughter’ is described as an original British faerytale, and the tunes will be running round your head for days.

This was the third day of rehearsals and the talent of the young cast was truly incredible. When they sang in full voice, you could have been excused for thinking you were witnessing a West End cast being put through its paces.

If you’re in the area, you should definitely go and see it. Frankly, even if you’re not in the area, it’s worth the trip. It’s only the second ever production of Clockmakers, and the first outside London, so it would be like seeing one of the very early productions of Les Mis or Joseph – great bragging rights.

To tempt you, there’s a background video here.

And you can see all my pics of the rehearsal on my SmugMug site, as well as seeing a few of them on my performance page.

The Clockmaker’s Daughter is at Bingham Hall, Cirencester, from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th August. It is a co-production between MJ-UK and Stage Smart, the new drama academy that is about to open in the town.

Tickets are available at http://www.mj-uk.com and from the Cirencester Visitor Information Centre (01285 654180).
